Sam Watson (Uncle Joe) has been involved with the creative arts since childhood.
However, it was not until 1993 when he was selected and featured in a KENO TV
commercial that he began to take acting serious. He met Vance Malone of Food Chain
Films who was very inspirational. He studied at Portland Film Actors Lab under Loren
Bivens (Actor/Director/CBS Animator). Sam has performed in plays like "A Christmas
Menorah" (Leading role) at MJCC and "The Forgotten Soul" (Supporting role) at PPSS.
It was during a production of "The Forgotten Soul" that Sam first met the brilliant
and talented Raymond Steers. Who later asked him to try out for the part of "Uncle
Joe" in his upcoming independent movie "Sum of the Parts. It was a pleasure to work
with Mr. Steers, the actors and crew. Sam has appeared in many TV movies and
Industrial films as a background actor. Sam will appear in a supporting role in the
David Eblen's independent film "Eden's Crossing". Sam Watson is a good friend of
former Portland-er and current L.A. actor Marty Ryan.
Although most of Sam's major accomplishments to date are in music working with at
risk kids. Mainly G.R.E.A.T. and The Lost Dreams On Canvas Exhibit. The beat goes on
and he has re-located to Kissimmee, Florida where he is enjoying life and continues
to practice and study the craft of acting.
